ChatGPT Images

May 17, 2025
Connect

We’ve seen some big AI updates lately.

But this one? Definitely one of our favorites.

ChatGPT can now design graphics, including putting text on images.

We just used it to create all the visuals for an integrated marketing campaign.

Infographics. Social posts. UI mockups. Ads. Memes. Diagrams.Youtube thumbnail.

It took 15 minutes.

Back in the pre-AI days that'd be 20+ hours of work.

But now? Just prompts. And ChatGPT Plus ($20/month).

And the results? Impressive.

The top two reasons we love this

1. Text on image actually works now.
Most AI tools butcher this. ChatGPT nails it.

2. You don’t have to bounce between tools.
You can now ask ChatGPT to create your campaign from initial concept to design. No more bouncing between tools. Talk about massive time savings.

Our favorite ChatGPT image generation use cases:

1. Create branded visuals instantly.
Need 10 different LinkedIn ads to test tomorrow? You’re covered.

2. Generate graphics with text that doesn’t look like hieroglyphics.
Create infographics or ad creatives with clean copy baked in.

3. Design infographics, diagrams, and carousels from bullet points.
Turn your blog post outline into a full carousel in one prompt.

4. Turn a photo into a full ad in minutes.
Snap a product pic ask ChatGPT to write a headline and design the ad.

5. Edit or improve existing graphics.
Fix a typo or change the background of your pic that was photobombed.

6. Format visuals for different platforms
Instantly get graphics formatted for LinkedIn, Instagram, your blog, and pitch deck.

7. Strategize and design in one thread
Need to get a marketing campaign out the door this week? Ask ChatGPT to brainstorm ideas for your target audience then turn the one you like best into a full integrated campaign with images.

Your step-by-step image generation workflow

Here’s exactly how we use this in our own process:
Signup for ChatGPT Plus if you don’t have it ($20/month).
Use ChatGPT model 4o.
Open a new window and write a prompt describing the visual(s) you want ChatGPT to create.
Generate and review.
Not perfect? ChatGPT can revise colors, layout, text size, etc.
Download and use.
That’s it. You’ve got a scroll-stopping asset made in minutes.

Final thoughts

Imagery is easier than ever to create.

Have you tried image generation and editing with ChatGPT yet?

We’d love to hear what you’re creating.

Talk soon,
Brian & Andrea

I've tried hundreds of options and paid thousands of dollars (so you don't have to): Fireflies.ai - Note taking for your online meetings and so much more: transcription, voice notes, meeting performance, automatic task creation, etc. I've tried Otter, Sembly, and a few other native tools (Zoom AI and Google Meet AI). Firef...
Zero Draft Method
I spent Christmas night paying the price for some slightly undercooked turkey. (Lesson learned: check that you have a working meat thermometer before making a holiday meal.)   I'm recovered now luckily, but it got me thinking: how often do we put out “half-baked” content because we’re rushing or overwhelmed? This year, let’s change that. With AI, you can create more high-impact content without th...
LinkedIn hook
Hey, True story: A few months ago I challenged myself to get ONE MILLION impressions on a LinkedIn post.   An ambitious goal because my prior record was 1,810 impressions. cough. gasp. Annnnd, I post often... Four to five times a week. Now, I certainly don't complain about 1,000+ impressions (those are exactly the people I want to engage). But 1 million... hmmm. So, my team and I took a couple ...
